Keto Cheddar Cheese and Garlic Mayo Dressing

A Little About The Recipe: Keto Cheddar Cheese and Garlic Mayo Dressing
Keto Cheddar Cheese and Garlic Mayo Dressing is a no-cook dressing that takes less than five minutes!!! I am throwing that out there before you dismiss this deliciousness as too much hassle, click to leave, and potentially lose a great little dip, dressing, all-round condiment for almost anything. There is nothing to cook, nothing much to even do. The longest time is spent grating the cheese, and even that can be bought from the store already done if needs be. With all possible excuses blown out the window, now you have to stay and read!
It’s pretty much a sure thing that those on keto or Atkins’ will have mayonnaise handy in the fridge. Usually, in my household, it’s Easy Homemade Mayonnaise. This makes it easy to just scoop out ¼ cup (60ml) for a loftier purpose, like turning it into Cheddar Cheese and Garlic Mayo Dressing. For these two diets, cheddar cheese somewhere in the fridge is pretty much guaranteed as well. And so, with all necessary ingredients at the ready, this is an easy and fast way to make the ordinary a bit more special.
Cheddar Cheese and Garlic Mayo Dressing is a strong but great tasting addition to many recipes. It goes great dolloped on beef, chicken and pork. It makes crudites way more interesting if you use it as a cheese dip and can really dress up an otherwise lacklustre salad. I can’t say it’s best for fish or seafood from my perspective, but don’t let me stop you; try it if you like – whatever floats your boat!
I Recommend This For: Keto Cheddar Cheese and Garlic Mayo Dressing
In case it’s not apparent, I will state right here that this will never be a paleo or whole30 diet. It wouldn’t even scrape through into paleo-ish – those, like me, with the more delicate digestive systems, need to pass it by.
Now, what can you use it for? It is perfect, absolutely perfect, for keto and just fine for Atkins’ Induction and Maintenance. A reminder to those on the Atkins’ Induction to remember you will only have a 75g (about 2.6oz) allotment of cheese left for the rest of the day.
It is a strong tasting dressing, so you don’t need very much per person. The one portion this recipe gives will happily serve two people. That’s deliciousness on a plate for 1.1g of net carbs, a whopping 25g of nice healthy fat and only 3.5g of protein. With such a small amount of protein in the dressing, you get to spend this precious commodity on your meat instead. The question, now, is what meat?
I originally placed this dressing with a chicken recipe that would suit keto, Atkins’ Induction and Atkins’ Ongoing and Maintenance – Cajun Marinated Chicken with or without Cheddar Cheese and Garlic Mayo Dressing. I would still recommend this dish. One possibility for Atkins’ Induction is to add it to those two cups of salad greens you are allowed per day just to change things up a bit! Recommendations for everyone also include the Pan Fried Chicken Thighs or Slow Roasted Boneless Lamb Shoulder with Dried Rosemary and Garlic – the garlic layering of the lamb and of the dressing blend quite tastily. Keto might like to try dipping some Oven Roasted Lamb Meatballs.
